…here were these yearbooks all these years? I found the last college one where her name was changed. She married against her parents and grandmother’s wishes, so the story goes. They tried to elope but got ratted out by her sister. My great grandmother adored my mother and wanted her to finish college first. But my strong-willed mother refused, had to get married right away. She graduated one year later. They were married 42 years.
