And it was a hit!

It was a dark, miserable Saturday, and after seven long days, it was time to break Dry January.

I went out for lunch with my friends. Which turned into afternoon drinks. Which turned into evening drinks. We lost some good soldiers along the way who couldn’t keep up.

Their weakness disgusted me.

By 8 pm it was just me and my best friend. We thought about going home but it wasn’t often that we both had a work-free, child-free Saturday.

We left a bar and walked through the city to find a different bar that was not full of people filming Tik Toks.

There is no hope for the human race.

We walked past a store with jigsaw puzzles in the window. My friend and I looked at each other and without saying a word, we came to a mutual decision that this was where our night would take us.

We bought a jigsaw puzzle and entered a busy bar. A typical Saturday evening. Everyone was dressed up and most people were scanning the room, giving flirtatious glances, posing, taking selfies, and the usual fuckery people who still give a fuck engage in.

Thankfully, I have reached the glorious point in my life where I give zero fucks.
