I completely agree that the label "narcissist" is used in large excess at the moment. I've spoken about it quite a lot. I've written a whole article about it.

It's infruating for people that have actually dealt with a narcissist, when others use the term for any bad behavior.

My husband was not officially diagnosed because everytime it was suggested to him by a professional, he refused to see them again. Our couple's therapist spoke with me on my own to tell me that the evidence of him having NPD was overwhelming.
