I feel this. The older I get, the more time I need in my "mental realms".

…s not to say that I don’t like the company of other people also. I do. It’s not all extremes for me. I love hanging out with friends and family, but I need to escape into my mental realms too. It is however not the former, but the latter I thrive on the most.
