It doesn't sound heartless. I agree we are much better off without him. I'm just disturbed by his action to cut her out of his life.

Oh my gosh, that makes me feel visibly sick. I'm so sorry you and your daughter had to go through that. Hell, I would have done the sharpie thing too. Probably followed them there as well, in disguise.
