There are too many stories like Lily's. It happened to my grandmother's friend. She fell on her front step and had to lay there for 6 hours waiting for an ambulance. Luckily, neighbours saw her, called 999 and kept her warm and hydrated.

And, I completely agree. There is a massive vulnerability in being alone/ single. I have intrusive thoughts regularly and some of them are about me falling and hitting my head or having a stroke while my daughter cries out for hours/ days before anyone comes. It's a genuine fear.
